Loise Bath started rosemaling classes in Denver, Colorado, 25 years ago here and attended her first class at Vesterhein in 2005. Since then, she has visited the museum yearly for classes and to study the extensive collections. In 2013, she first entered the annual National Exhibition of Folk Art in the Norwegian Tradition and found the challenge a very valuable experience. She first went to Norway in 2013 and then in 2016 she participated in the Vesterheim Folk Art Study Tour to Norway, an invaluable experience which further broadened her knowledge. In 2012 she began teaching rosemaling at the Sons of Norway Lodge in Lakewood, Colorado. In teaching others, she says she has gained as much as her students! All these experiences have made her eager to share her knowledge with others and not let this beautiful art be forgotten.
