Skål! Whether or not you have taken a class with us already, you will enjoy learning some new cocktail recipes in this new class featuring aquavit, the traditional Scandinavian spirit with centuries of tradition and celebration. Emily Vikre of Vikre Distillery will inspire you with her creative cocktail tips and her storytelling about the history of aquavit, as well as her contemporary lifestyle as a dual Norwegian citizen living in Duluth, Minnesota. Be prepared to concoct delicious aquavit drinks while engaging with Emily and other cocktail enthusiasts during this fun evening class.  

Supplies:  Students will need to provide a computer, laptop, or tablet with a camera and mic as well as a fast, reliable internet connection. You will be sent the ingredients list and class preparation approximately one week before the class in order to prepare. Recipes will be shared with participants after the live Zoom class.

The listed class time is one Zoom session on Friday, January 21, from 7:00-8:00 pm CT.

Emily Vikre

Emily Vikre is the co-founder and CEO of Vikre Distillery in Duluth, Minnesota, makers of award-winning aquavits and gins amongst other spirits. She is also the author of Camp Cocktails – easy, fun, and delicious drinks for the great outdoors. As a Norwegian-American dual citizen, Emily has always been steeped in the culture and cuisine of Scandinavia. Her favorite activities are sharing meals with friends, cross-country skiing, dancing ballet, and painting. She lives in Duluth, Minnesota, with her husband, two young sons, and a dog named Squid.
