Join us for an introduction to growing, processing, spinning, and weaving flax fiber for linen production. During this class, you will have the hands-on opportunity to hand-process, spin, and weave your own linen using flax straw and tools provided by Andrea. Prior spinning and weaving experience is a plus, but is not required for this class. Participants with a working spinning wheel or flax dressing tools are encouraged to bring them. There will be a materials fee of $45.

Andrea Myklebust

Andrea Myklebust is a sculptor, shepherd, and fiber artist living in southern Vermont. She teaches weaving, handspinning, tapestry, twining, and flax-to-linen classes both in-person and online. She has taught for The North House Folk School, The Vesterheim Folk Art School, the Southern Vermont Arts Center, and under her own banner as the Mountain Heart School of Craft in Danby, Vermont.
