Who needs color charts? Proofing colors before painting a project can improve the color balance! Simplifying your palette can also improve color balance. In this class we will make color charts to keep track of our mixes and we’ll do all of this without dirtying a brush. Color mixing is a good time to practice wielding a palette knife. There are lots of oil colors out there. It can be expensive to buy them all and a bit of a pain to keep track of them. We’ll create some limited palettes and record them for reference for your rosemaling projects. We’ll also explore some examples of rosemaling with limited palettes from the Vesterheim collection. There is a $20 palette fee to cover the cost of the paints for the class.

Registration for this class has closed.
