Who needs color charts? Proofing colors before painting a project can improve the color balance! Simplifying your palette can also improve color balance. In this class, we will make color charts to keep track of our mixes and we’ll do all of this without dirtying a brush. Color mixing is a good time to practice wielding a palette knife. Join Vesterheim Gold Medalist Jan Norsetter to create some limited palettes and record them for reference for your rosemaling projects. We’ll also explore some examples of rosemaling with limited palettes from the Vesterheim collection.
This class includes three Zoom sessions on Friday, April 16:
- Session 1 - 10:00-11:30 am CT
- Session 2 - 1:00-2:30 pm CT
- Session 3 - 3:30-5:00 pm CT
We ask that you plan to be "working" independently on painting between Zoom sessions.
