- Level of Instruction
- This class is for students who have some experience with rosemaling.
Have you tried rosemaling but are looking to broaden the range of styles you're comfortable with? This class is for you! Exploring Viksdal, Nordfjord, Setesdal, and Trondelag styles, you'll learn the traditional elements of the style in the morning, work on a project during the day, and add the finishing touches in the afternoon. Students will be provided with all the supplies and materials needed to paint four separate projects including wooden boards, a high-quality set of brushes, paints, and more. This class will be taught using oil paints. If you've painted with acrylics, this is a great opportunity to get comfortable with oils. Whether you've taken a couple of classes or have studied rosemaling for decades, you can expand your repertoire by exploring new styles!
This class will take place on four consecutive days, Monday through Thursday, September 27-30. This class includes daily Zoom Instruction equalling 10 hours of instruction during the week:
- 10-11:30 am CST, Monday through Thursday, September 27-30
- 3:30-4:30 pm CT, Monday through Thursday, September 27-30.
- Additionally, you should plan for 2 hours of independent work time between sessions each day
