Folk Art Online

Update: The Folk Art School will begin releasing upcoming class information on a quarterly schedule starting in 2021. Online classes for January through March 2021 will be released on December 10, 2020. There will also be a special release on November 28 of upcoming online food and cocktail classes happening in December 2020 and into 2021. We're so excited to share our programs with you!

Opportunities abound for you to stay connected with the Vesterheim Folk Art School community, even while maintaining a safe physical distance. Look here for all different kinds of online folk-art experiences. Learn new skills, converse about Scandinavian folk arts, make new friends, reunite with old ones—all from the comfort and safety of your own space! New offerings will be posted regularly, so check back often.

Support for these programs is provided by the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, and the National Endowment for the Arts through the federal CARES Act legislation; Arts Midwest and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation through Arts Midwest and The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation through The United States Regional Arts Resilience Fund; and the Huebner Education Fund.
