Nevada Berg was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and during her life journeys found herself in Norway. She resides in the Medieval Valley of Numedal with her Norwegian husband and son. She is the author and creator of the award-winning Norwegian food and culture website North Wild Kitchen. Her recipes and stories are inspired by tradition and history, as well as innovative approaches to Norwegian ingredients. In 2018, Nevada released internationally her first cookbook, North Wild Kitchen: Home Cooking From the Heart of Norway, with resounding success. It was named one of the best cookbooks that fall by The New York Times. She was also the TV program leader for Matkanalen’s Ostereisen series. Nevada is regarded internationally as one of the most recognized voices for Norwegian food.
