Scott Johnson discovered kolrosing when, in March of 2016, he attended a kolrosing class at Vesterheim, instructed by Darlene Fossum-Martin. With Darlene’s instruction and encouragement, kolrosing became a true passion for Scott. He has developed many tools to aid in his kolrosing process. He is a Vesterheim Gold Medalist in Woodworking and in Knifemaking. He loves sharing the art of kolrosing with others and seeing their smiles when they discover the magic. Scott and his wife Marlene live near Atkinson, a small town in north central Nebraska, located at the edge of the Sand Hills. He works full-time as a natural gas service tech.
